There are three ways to add products: Scan a barcode using your camera, take a photo of the product for AI recognition, or add manually by entering the product details yourself. Tap the + button on the Shelf tab to get started.

When you add a product, Skinventry uses AI to analyze each ingredient. Every ingredient receives a safety rating (Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor, or Avoid), along with information about its benefits, what skin types it's best for, and whether it's comedogenic. You can view the full analysis on any product's detail page.

The AI Derm is your personal skincare advisor. You can ask it anything about your skin, send photos for analysis, get routine recommendations, check ingredient compatibility, and more. It's personalized to your actual product collection and skin profile. Note: This is an AI assistant, not a medical professional. Always consult a dermatologist for medical concerns.

Set the PAO (Period After Opening) for each product — usually printed on the packaging as a number followed by "M" (e.g., 12M = 12 months). When you mark a product as "In Use," Skinventry automatically calculates the expiration date. The Expiration Calendar shows all products color-coded by status: safe, expiring soon, or expired.

Yes. Skinventry is local-first — all your data is stored on your device by default. Cloud sync is optional and only activated if you create an account. Your progress photos are stored locally and never uploaded without your explicit action. We never sell or share your personal data.

The free tier includes up to 5 products, 1 routine, and limited AI chats per month. Skinventry Premium unlocks unlimited products, unlimited routines, unlimited AI Derm chats, progress photo comparison, shareable collection cards, cloud sync, and priority support.

Go to the Routines tab and tap "Create morning routine" or "Create evening routine." Select products from your shelf for each step. Once set up, you can track daily completion and build streaks. The AI can also suggest what to use tonight based on your skin's needs.

Yes! Go to your Profile and tap Progress Photos. Use the in-app camera with the face guide overlay to take consistent photos. You can tag photos by area (face, cheeks, forehead, chin, body) and compare photos side-by-side over time to see your skin's progress.

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Skinventry, and tap "Cancel Subscription." You'll continue to have Premium access until the end of your current billing period.

Go to Profile > Delete Account. This will remove your cloud data. Local data on your device can be cleared by uninstalling the app. If you have an active subscription, remember to cancel it separately through Apple's subscription management.
